We are again an official partner charity, so join us to celebrate 10 years of the Blackmores Sydney Running Festival, on Sunday 19th September 2010. It’s the run that’s fun for everyone!

The Blackmores Sydney Running Festival offers four events that cater for all levels of fitness, so there is no excuse not to get outside, get active and most importantly Run for Barnardos. On offer is The Sunday Telegraph 4km amily Fun Run, The Sunday Telegraph body + soul 9km Bridge Run, the Blackmores Half Marathon or the Blackmores Marathon.

Last year the event saw record participation, with over 32 000 entrants on the day and this year is expected to be even bigger, so now is the time to round-up a couple of friends or create your own team. Evaluate your level of fitness then enter to walk, run or leisurely stroll across one of the world’s best landmarks, the Sydney Harbour Bridge then finish at the iconic Sydney Opera House.

Run for Barnardos and run for free! Join our team NOW!

Fresh from covering the FIFA World Cup in South Africa, SBS sports presenter and former Socceroo, Craig Foster, will again be participating on the day and throwing all his support behind Barnardos.

Barnardos is thrilled to again have access to a charity marquee in the SKINS recovery village which will be set up in the Botanical Gardens at the end of the race. You'll be able to catch up with Craig in our marquee and join other Barnardos supporters for refreshments, face painting and giveaways, whilst celebrating everyone’s achievements.

To make your day truly inspirational, we ask that you choose to fundraise for Barnardos. Help us, by creating your very own fundraising page. Email this personal page to your friends and supporters, requesting they sponsor you on your crusade to help break the cycle of child abuse and neglect.

Remember, you can sign up as part of the “Run for a cause and Run for FREE” initiative, that provides you with a refund on your entry if your fundraising target is reached!

Last year we raised $20,000 thanks to the efforts of our committed fundraisers. We aim to break that  that target and head towards $30,000.00 in 2010. Barnardos Australia and the thousands of children we help every year need all the support we can get. Not only will the funds raised help the continued delivery of life changing services to our most vulnerable children but at the same time we hope the community will listen and learn about the important work we do, everyday.

Believe in children, believe in Barnardos and join us in The 2010 Blackmores Sydney Running Festival.
