The importance of making a Will
Making a Will enables you to recognise the people and causes that were important to you during your lifetime. Are you aware;
- Making a Will is the only way to make sure that your wishes are followed after you are gone.
- If you do not have a Will you should consult a Solicitor
- Marriage or divorce automatically cancels a Will in some States
- Executors are not excluded from getting a gift via your Will
- Don’t clip anything to your Will, or staple or pin in a way the disfigures it
- Keep your Will up to date
- You can leave money/gift to family and friends, alongside a gift to charity in the same Will
- Up to half of Australians die without making a Will1
